My main academic and critical interests include Renaissance literature (particularly drama) and Shakespeare, with secondary interests in modern drama and fantasy fiction.
Critics call my book The Problem in the Middle: Liminal Space and the Court Masque, published by Clemson University Press in 2007, “a useful contribution both to the history of the masque and to the history of theater…fresh and exciting…Wilson’s work is part of a larger and much-needed critical revision of the idea ‘that the masque emphasized passive reception and hollow spectacle.'”
