I’m heading to Readercon for the fourth time this year. As I’ve mentioned in previous years, this is a major fantasy/sci fi conference–but for writers and readers only. If you’re in the Boston area, please try to stop by. (Keep in mind that there may be a day pass cost, but there are a whole lot of great authors who are going to be here, so it’s worth your while to check it out.)
I’m doing two things at Readercon this year: a panel on Saturday at 6 p.m. entitled Science Fiction for Today’s Undergraduate, on the teaching of science fiction in the undergraduate classroom, and a talk on the same day at 9 p.m. entitled Podcasts, Professions and Shameless Promotion: Combining Different Worlds to Advance a Career. I would love to see as many of you as possible at both events, so please head out to the Burlington Marriott on Saturday!
